CAIT — Figure Weights

INSTRUCTIONS

Number of questions: 26

Has a time limit of: 00:12:00

Must be finished in one sitting. You cannot save and finish later.

RECORD YOUR RAW SCORE WHEN FINISHED TO CONVERT TO SS.

Your goal is to determine which figures are equivalent in weight and will subsequently balance the scale when placed in the question mark box on the right.

This is a timed test and your goal is to move as quickly as possible between questions while being accurate. Do not rush, but do not dawdle either. Accuracy will trump speed on this test.

This test has a very high ceiling and it is unlikely that you will finish the test. It is normal to not finish, and it is possible to achieve an extremely high score without finishing.

Therefore, the correct strategy is to utilize all of your time trying to SOLVE the problem at hand.

Try the following example questions to learn the rules before beginning.

Example:Answer: 1 – Note that the circle balances the scale with itself because all red circles weigh the SAME.

Example 2:Answer: 2 – Note that the first scale proves the square and triangle weigh the SAME.

Therefore, all purple triangles weigh the same as all purple squares.

When you correctly understand the rules and are ready to begin the test, press Start.
